Do not close window!<br \/>\n3) A message will be displayed that your certificate was installed successfully.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Installation into Thunderbird (Mail Client)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Export to PFX File<\/p>\n<p>1) Inside Firefox go to Tools -&gt; Options (Windows), Edit -&gt; Options (*nix), Firefox -&gt; Options (Mac)<br \/>\n2) Then go to Advanced -&gt; General -&gt; Encryption and click on &#8220;View Certificates&#8221;.<br \/>\n3) Select the tab that says &#8220;Personal&#8221; or &#8220;Your Certificates&#8221;.<br \/>\n4) Highlight the certificate that expires on 1 year from when you applied for your certificate.<br \/>\n5) Once highlighted select the button that says &#8220;Backup&#8221;.<br \/>\n6) Next one should be prompted to save the file.<br \/>\nRecommended:<br \/>\n* Save location: Desktop<br \/>\n* File Name: email address; Ex: <a href=\"mailto:support@company.com\">support@company.com<\/a> would become support_company_com<br \/>\n* File type: PKCS12 Files (*.p12)<br \/>\n7) Provide a password for your .p12 file.<br \/>\n8) Click &#8216;Save&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Import\/Install to Thunderbird (part 2 of 2)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1) Inside Thunderbird go to &#8220;Tools -&gt; Account Settings&#8221; and select &#8220;Security&#8221; under the e-mail account you applied with.<br \/>\n2) Click on &#8220;View Certificates&#8221; to load the Thunderbird Certificate Manager.<br \/>\n3) Click &#8220;Import&#8221; and supply the password you created above.<br \/>\n4) Close the Certificate Manager.<br \/>\n5) Click &#8220;Select&#8221;.<br \/>\n6) Select your certificate from the drop-down menu and click &#8220;OK&#8221; when finished.<br \/>\n7) Perform the above step for both the Digital Signing and Encryption.<br \/>\n*** If you wish to digitally sign every message, please select the option &#8220;Digitally Sign Messages (by default)&#8221;<br \/>\n8) Click &#8220;OK&#8221; to exit the &#8220;Account Settings&#8221; window.<br \/>\n9) Now your certificate is installed ready to use within Thunderbird!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note: <\/strong>To encrypt a message, click the down arrow to the right of the &#8220;Security&#8221; button.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>E-mail Certificates: Firefox \/ Thunderbird How to collect and install Comodo e-mail certificates for Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird Collect 1) Check your email on the email address that you applied with. 2) Note: Make sure you use the same browser you applied with!
