\nThe COMODO EV SSL and EV SGC SSL Certificates both come with EV Enhancer\u2122, which ensures that the EV “green bar”, the certificate holder’s organization name and “Identified by COMODO” are always displayed in Internet Explorer 7 (and above) on Windows\u2122 XP (and above).<\/p>\n
\nEV Enhancer\u2122 Version 2 uses a simple HTML “conditional comment” to download a small, invisible image. This download prompts the Windows\u2122 Automatic Root Update facility to import COMODO’s EV Root Certificate onto the visiting client system, thereby enabling that client to recognize the SSL Certificate’s EV status.<\/p>\n
\nWithout COMODO’s EV Root Certificate installed, some clients will not see the “EV green bar” when they visit your website. For technical reasons, Internet Explorer 7 (and above) doesn’t normally install EV Root Certificates automatically, so most CAs provide EV-enabling technologies similar to EV Enhancer\u2122 in order to work around this limitation.<\/p>\n
