Start the MKKF utility by typing<\/p>\n

mkkf <\/em><\/p>\n

at the command prompt The system displays a menu page<\/p>\n

Note: The MKKF utility places the keyring file in the current directory unless otherwise specified<\/strong><\/p>\n

Select N to create a new key ring file
\nAfter you type in a key ring file name, the next menu screen will come up
\nSelect W to work with keys and certificates
\nSelect C to create a new key and certificate request.
\nType a password when prompted
\nSelect P to choose PKCS#10 certificate request format at the next menu.
\nSelect M to modify the certificate request fields at the next menu.<\/p>\n

Note: The following characters can not be accepted: < > ~ ! @ # $ % ^ * \/ \\ ( ) ?&<\/strong><\/p>\n

Country Name – The two-letter ISO abbreviation for your country
\nState or Province Name – The state or province where your organization is located. In Sweden use L\u00e4n for example Skane or Dalarna.\u00a0Note: Do not use abbreviations<\/strong><\/p>\n

City or Locality – The city where your organization is located
\nOrganization Name – The exact legal name of your organization
\nOrganizational Unit – Optional for additional organizational information
\nCommon Name – The fully qualified domain name for your web server<\/p>\n

Note: You will get a certificate name check warning if this is not an exact match
\nIf you intend to secure the URL\u00a0 <\/strong>https:\/\/secure.company.com\/,<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0then your CSR’s server common name must be secure. company.com<\/strong><\/p>\n

Server Admin.’s email address – Your email address<\/p>\n

Select R to create the key and certificate request<\/p>\n

After the key and certificate request are created,<\/p>\n

select X to exit from MKKF utility<\/p>\n

Save the changes to the key-ring file<\/p>\n

Make a backup copy of your keyring file and store it in a safe place<\/strong><\/p>\n
